Where You’ll Stay

The accommodations include a beautiful log cabin, on property, which is getting booked consistently so it requires me to block out dates. It has 3 bedrooms. Two have queen beds and one has two twin beds. The master has a private bath. Two awesome glamping tents have just been installed and have propane heat and electricity for a light and an outlet for charging your phone. Each has a queen size bed. I have additional accommodations in my farmhouse with three spacious upstairs bedrooms and 6 beds. Two are private and one is a comfortable shared space with 4 full sized beds. There are two shared bathrooms for these accommodations.

About Your Facilitators

Kristyn Fabela

Cert. E.A.P. Equine Professional
I was raised in Naples, Maine where my love of horses grew early. At the age of twelve, I was given horseback riding lessons for my birthday. It led to me attending college in Pennsylvania where I studied equine science. Since finishing college I have worked in several programs.

I found my true calling while working with at-risk youth in 2002 using horse therapy. It gave me a deep joy seeing youth working, and connecting with horses. This unique alignment allowed those youth to be aware of their actions, gain empathy, and build more healthy relationships.

Since then I have worked and volunteered at several other therapeutic programs all over the country.

In 2016 I founded Solia Farm in Apison, TN. The focus of Solia Farm is EAP and EAEM with traumatized children, and adults.

In 2019 I received my certificate in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy from O.K. Corral Series . I’m always updating my training, and studying the latest in EAP.

I can’t wait to come alongside you in your journey to healing.

When I signed up for your retreat I saw yoga, food, farm, animals, and horse time! I was like yes! What I didn’t realize was I was going to go away with a renewed sense of myself and my purpose. I connected with a person I had forgotten about. She is strong, kind, powerful, creative, and is loud! The yoga stretched and renewed my body. The food was delicious and plentiful. MY room and bed were comfortable and decorated with thoughtful care.

The horse therapy grounded my soul. The horses shared their strength and natural wisdom. The speakers all had powerful encouraging messages that I was able to take away from.

I will be recommending Thrive Farm Retreat to every woman I know.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I’ve never been to a retreat before. How do I prepare?
Do things that make you feel more relaxed, such as practicing mindfulness meditation, yoga, or walking in nature. The more you can ease into a relaxed state, the more receptive you are likely to be to the experience once you arrive.

On a more practical level, have weather appropriate clothing (check the forecast for Lafayette GA). For working with horses you will need closed toed shoes that fit snugly and securely on your feet. You will also need to bring some yoga clothes, boots, comfortable walking shoes. Plan to dress in layers as the temperature can fluctuate throughout the day and we’ll be doing indoor and outdoor activities.

How many people will be on this retreat with me?
There are 10 slots available for this retreat.
Will I have my own bedroom and bathroom?
There are three different levels of accommodations available, from private to semi-private. Please contact Susan for more information.
Is there ongoing support offered to keep me accountable and focused on my intentions after the retreat ends?
Yes! Three of the hosts/facilitators are coaches and will be happy to talk with you about ongoing support opportunities.
Is this retreat for both men and women?
This retreat is focused on women’s empowerment and wellness specifically.
Will there be gluten free options provided by the chef?
The chef herself is on a gluten free diet, so with advanced notice, all dietary needs can be met.
What if I get sick, or something comes up and I can't attend? Can I get a refund?
Refunds for documented medical illness will be made until 10 days prior to the retreat.
I am just not sure if a retreat is what I need. How can I determine if this is the right thing for me?
There are two ways you can learn more and determine if this retreat is a good fit for you.

1. You can join me and my collaborator, Maria, for an informal conversation about The Peace & Abundance Retreat and see if this is exactly what you need to reset the tone of your life for 2023. Have any questions that aren’t listed above?

I have experienced retreats in the past in different countries in South America and few states in the USA. It is the first time that I feel true healing (yes, there were things that I experienced for the first time) and maybe that’s what made this retreat, this experience, so unique and unforgettable.

Thank you Susan M for offering this amazing place to heal, to connect, and to feel that the sky is the limit. The energy in the house felt so comfortable. The little pets in the house made it feel like I was home. The energy of the speakers and teacher was enthusiastic and so informative. The experience of the women made me feel that I was not alone. The experience with the horses (Lola) was so unique, I felt she knew me, and the confidence Kristen made me feel with the horses was so unique.

Camille was so knowledgeable and gave so much information. The way she has to teach peace and abundance was excellent.

The food was delicious, and seeing the cooks prepare the food was an experience.

The mindfulness exercises with Susan were soothing, and the art time and conversation was something I will bring in my hard for long time.

The yoga practice (something I have not experienced before) was amazing and amazingly healing). Rosy was incredible.

Thank you so much Susan for opening your farm to experience peace and abundance.
